a new language for the skin
Created during my Masters research at FBAUL, the TATTOOLS are a collection of handcrafted glass sculptures, each with its own unique shape and texture.
This process generates abstract compositions which are intrinsically and uniquely defined by the body.
how does a TATTOOLS session happen?
It's an artistic ritual that only happens on mutual trust. It cannot be planned on paper, only created in the moment, on the skin.
The Location: First, we define the area on your body to be tattooed. Areas of movement, like joints, shoulders and ribs, are ideal as their natural contours provoke distortions when you move, bringing the tattoo alive.
The Composition: Using the set of TATTOOLS as a dictionary of characters, the stencil is built live on your body, layering and arranging them until we co-create a composition that feels right. A design that embraces your form and is literally defined by it.
The marks produced are unrepeatable, as the slight change in pressure, ink and area affects the result. One design can only be achieved on one body and that's the beauty of the process.

The TATTOOLS are available in two distinct levels of complexity - using one piece alone or more simultaneously.
To provide pricing and understand your vision, the first step is to decide on the area for your tattoo - location and size.
